Key points for reviewers:
Inadequate / unbalanced content
If you are reviewing a course/subject, be detailed about your experience with it and consider it as a whole. Try to be objective and form a balanced view. In some cases, we may not accept reviews if we believe the whole subject/course hasn’t been taken into consideration.
Reviews that appear to be for marketing purposes
Reviews that appear overly positive and appear likely to be for marketing purposes may be removed. Our review team has the final say on what may be considered and/or interpreted as a review for marketing purposes.
Personal attacks
Reviews that include personal attacks, threats or insults directed at or defamatory of other people will be removed. Your account may also be banned. If you believe a review breaches this guideline, please report the review.
Personal reprisals against staff or organisations
Reviews that may be interpreted as a reprisal against staff or organisations will be removed and your account may be banned.
Offensive language
Do not use any language that may be offensive. This includes but is not limited to swearing, threats, vilification of race, culture, beliefs, physical or mental conditions, gender, religion age and sexual orientation.
Advertising
Reviews that include or link to any advertising material will be removed. Subject/course recommendations may be acceptable depending on the content. The review team has the final say on what is considered advertising and whether a review is allowable.
External Links
Reviews that include external links that are irrelevant or lead to unsafe and/or offensive websites will be removed. Our review team has the final say on what links can/can’t be included.
Copied/ plagiarised reviews
Do not copy the wording, or a substantial part of the wording, of a review written by a third party, whether the review has been published by us or otherwise, as this may infringe copyright.
Affiliation to the subject/course
Don’t post a review if you are affiliated with the subject/course or were affiliated with it in the past. Affiliation includes being a past or present employee of, or having otherwise worked for, the organisation responsible for the subject or course, and the family and friends of such organisation.
Review verification
Our review team may contact you at their discretion to verify the details of your review. You may be asked to provide additional information as a precondition to a review appearing or being allowed to remain.
Fake Reviews
If it becomes evident to Uni Notes that a business or other person has been posting fake reviews (whether positive or negative) for subjects/courses, we reserve the right to take any or all of the following actions:
Incentivised user reviews
Our review team reserves the right to remove reviews where the reviewer may have been incentivised to provide a positive review.
