Overview

This course prepares you for a diverse career in emerging public health professions. Public health refers to a collection of disciplines that share a common aim to prevent disease, promote health and improve wellbeing among the population as a whole, rather than focusing on individuals.

Through your studies you will develop a broad understanding of evidence-based strategies to address existing, evolving and re-emerging health risks and achieve higher standards of health and wellbeing. You will develop specialised skills and knowledge with the option to choose a major in Health Promotion, Public Health Nutrition, or Environmental Health. A strong emphasis on participation, prevention and partnership with the community is threaded throughout the curriculum.
