Overview

In the first year of Associate Degree, you'll learn fundamental principles of engineering that apply across different areas of engineering. In the second year you'll major in Mechanical Engineering where you will undertake major-specific courses and complete a capstone project. You will gain theoretical knowledge and practical skills to design, install, maintain, analyse and improve a range of devices, systems and infrastructures.

In the Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) (Honours) you can specialise in computer-aided engineering and design, industrial aerodynamics and computational fluid dynamics, energy conservation and renewable energy, mechatronics, dynamics and control. As a mechanical engineering student you'll develop skills required to plan, design, develop and improve machinery used in everyday life. There is also the opportunity to participate in projects such as the Formula SAE racing car teams or work on Engineers Without Borders projects.
