Overview

The Associate Degree in Information Technology provides a blend of theory and hands-on subjects in hardware and software, networking, database concepts and java programming, you will gain the practical and theoretical skills you need to enter the computer industry. A major component of this course will be learning to solve practical problems with laboratory work.

The Bachelor of Information Technology is developed with industry partners to reflect current IT trends and prepare you for large-scale software application development. You can specialise in key areas such as web and mobile computing, security and cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, software systems development and more, while your final semester project simulates working in industry. An understanding of IT theory and practice, combined with hands-on expertise from your industry project, means you’ll graduate with the ability to manage technology requirements for organisations and businesses of all sizes.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 20 in English other than EAL or at least 25 in English as an Additional Language (EAL); Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 20 in any Mathematics.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.
