Overview

This program will provide you with foundation research skills that will underpin your future career as a scientist or researcher in the applied sciences.

You will undertake a series of coursework modules to develop advanced knowledge in your discipline, skills in research methods and practice and in consultation with your supervisor you will develop your research plan.

You will conduct your research as prescribed in your plan, and document your findings in a thesis and in an oral presentation to an audience consisting of peers and academics.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Bachelor Degree: Successful completion of an Australian bachelor degree in science or equivalent, with a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 2.0 out of 4.0 overall and 2.5 in the final equivalent full-time year.

Potential Career Outcomes

Honours graduates may seek employment in industry and government as research assistants, advisors, and scientists.
