The heart of any business is its people. In La Trobe’s major in human resource management, you’ll be equipped with the skills to manage people and help businesses and organisations operate more effectively.

Offered through La Trobe’s Bachelor of Accounting, in this exciting major you'll explore the theories, concepts and processes that drive human resource management to achieve positive organisational outcomes. You'll learn about strategic human resource management, recruitment and selection practices, employment relations, performance management and more.

La Trobe's Bachelor of Accounting gives you the technical and human skills you need to adapt and thrive in our era of digital transformation. You’ll develop vital skills in accounting, information systems, finance, economics, management and data analytics tools. You’ll also build a deep understanding of financial accounting, business law, management accounting, auditing and assurance, forensic accounting and taxation.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Subject proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.
