Overview

Not just 'crunching numbers' - accounting is vital to the success of every business, and integral to decision making. It's constantly evolving and is a great foundation for a range of careers.

This course will give you a solid technical skill set across key areas such as information systems, corporate finance, auditing and assurance, financial reporting and data analysis. You'll learn to interpret data and develop insights that will help organisations effectively allocate resources and make better business decisions.

Your course will be structured around giving you exactly what you need to excel in this area - from problem-solving and complex analysis, to communication and professional judgement. This course also comes with electives to prepare you to meet the requirements of the major professional accounting bodies, which means you'll hold an internationally recognised accounting qualification.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 27 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 22 in one of Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics or at least 25 in Maths: General Mathematics.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

As for Year 12 (or Year 12 equivalent).
