Tourism and hospitality are key global sectors, with the tourism sector alone worth more than US$1 trillion. La Trobe’s tourism and hospitality major has been designed by industry leaders to equip you with both the confidence and practical skills you need to succeed.

Offered through La Trobe’s Bachelor of Accounting, in this practical major you'll develop essential knowledge and capabilities in accounting, marketing, project management, data analysis, entrepreneurship, service skills and more.

La Trobe's Bachelor of Accounting gives you the technical and human skills you need to adapt and thrive in our era of digital transformation. You’ll develop vital skills in accounting, information systems, finance, economics, management and data analytics tools. You’ll also build a deep understanding of business law, auditing and assurance, forensic accounting, taxation and more.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Subject proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.

Majors

Tourism and hospitality.
