Overview

Interested in education but not necessarily teaching? Understanding how people learn will empower you with a solid bedrock of valuable knowledge across many different roles and industries - both inside and outside the educational arena.

What will you do?

Our Bachelor of Arts (Education) has a strong focus on teamwork, collaboration, and industry internships. You will:

  • study contemporary challenges in education
  • explore practical approaches for dealing with systemic issues
  • learn different theories, philosophies, and methods influencing teaching today
  • understand and respond to a diverse range of educational needs
  • develop inclusive strategies that foster learning and participation for all
In addition to education, our Bachelor of Arts program allows you to explore other interests by taking a minor (or another major) in a different discipline area. You can choose elective courses from the broadest range of study areas in the Arts in South Australia.

Where could it take you?

You could work in administration, human resources, or media. You might be an education officer at an art gallery or museum. Perhaps you'll take on a support role within a school. If you want to become a teacher, you can apply for the Master of Teaching (Secondary) when you complete your undergraduate studies.
