Overview

Want to learn about global justice, citizenship, leadership, the environment, and political systems around the world? Politics and International Relations examines Australian and global politics, as well as Australia's interactions with the broader world.

What will you do?

Our Bachelor of Arts (Politics and International Relations) has a strong focus on teamwork, collaboration, and industry internships. You will:

  • debate contemporary issues in domestic and international governance
  • learn about rising powers affecting Australia's economy, politics, and society
  • examine how and why the world is changing today
  • understand global players and foreign policy-making
  • build advanced research and analysis skills
  • practice identifying and communicating creative solutions for complex problems
In addition to Politics and International Relations, our Bachelor of Arts program allows you to explore other interests by taking a minor (or another major) in a different discipline area. You can choose elective courses from the broadest range of study areas in the Arts in South Australia.

Where could it take you?

You could work in government, intelligence, or international business consulting. You might be an international aid worker, with an organisation like the Red Cross, UNICEF, or World Vision. Perhaps you'll be a journalist, lobbyist, or the next host of Q&A.
