Overview

Combining a Bachelor of Communication and Media with a Bachelor of Arts degree offers applied learning and a broad introduction to how new media practices shape our everyday lives, both in the workplace and in our communities. Every real-world problem has a cultural and social dimension that can be understood using the skills you will gain from an Arts degree. Whichever major you choose, our double degree in Arts and Communication and Media combines expertise in the humanities and social research and analysis with a focus on global media and communications skills. On completion of this degree, you will have honed your skills of analysis and interpretation as well as your ability to synthesise complex ideas.

You will be equipped with critical and creative thinking skills for effective communication which are essential to problem solving and are highly valuable to a wide range of media careers.

The Bachelor of Communication and Media and Bachelor of Arts double degree offers you strong foundations in the global communication and media industries with flexible and transferable skills to prepare you for informed engagement with the changing world. You will choose one major and a second minor or major from a wide range of offerings in the Bachelor of Arts degree. You will then select one major to specialise in  for your Bachelor of Communication and Media from one of five majors including Digital and Social Media, Visual Communication Design, Journalism, Screen Media Production and Marketing Communication and Advertising.
