Overview

Discover the wonder of the human body with our Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences, one of only a few degrees in Australia that can be predominantly completed online, on-campus or in a combination of both modes to suit your needs. Our courses focus on human anatomy and physiology, microbiology, pharmacology, genetics, cell and molecular biology, nutrition and biochemistry, and you gain theoretical and practical knowledge in preparation for the workplace, the conduct of advanced research and health post-graduate opportunities. You study biomedical science laboratory techniques and investigate authentic medical problems, and produce scientific reports for biomedical experiments and mini research projects. The program provides the background knowledge for students to undertake the Graduate Medical Schools Admissions Test (GAMSAT). Potential Career Outcomes

The Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences prepares students for a career in medical research institutes and universities, public and private research and development laboratories, and biotechnology, pharmaceutical and diagnostic companies. Graduates may also pursue further study in professional programs in the allied health sciences, medicine or higher degree research.
