Overview

The Bachelor of Building Design provides the perfect career foundation for students who enjoy building and planning, drawing and design. Building designers provide design solutions for residential and commercial buildings and work for design, architecture, planning, building or engineering firms, government departments, and corporations with a large building portfolio. Through design-based projects and authentic assessments, students will develop skills in planning and designing residential homes and commercial buildings, satisfying the Building Design - Open licence issued by the Building Services Authority, Queensland. Students will build an understanding of construction structures, building materials and services, sustainability, professional practice and communication.
