In today's global society, event management is about more than bookings and budgets. We're expanding into new physical and digital worlds, breaking down barriers and embracing inclusion and diversity. La Trobe’s major in event management is designed to help you change the way we gather to celebrate, explore and communicate.

Offered through La Trobe’s Bachelor of Business, in this exciting major you'll learn the skills to deliver successful events and find innovative solutions to any challenge. Understand the evolving events space and learn how to manage volunteers and facilitate conferences.

With La Trobe's Bachelor of Business, you’ll develop solid foundations in business and learn how to thrive in a digitally disrupted world. You’ll gain foundational knowledge and enterprise skills in management, organisational structure, data analytics, ethical business practices and more. You'll also have the flexibility to choose from a wide range of majors and minors.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Subject proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.

Event management.
