This course will develop your understanding of the principles of innovation and how to apply them to solve the diverse entrepreneurial challenges that come with new ventures as well as established organisations. You'll acquire the skills to recognise market trends, analyse potential business opportunities, negotiate contracts, obtain funding, and apply lean principles in development of a business concept and business plan. This course strengthens your entrepreneurial mindset with creativity, innovation, and research and analytical capabilities. Learning outcomes
Areas of Study: Introduction to entrepreneurship, venture ideation, business communications, marketing fundamentals, customer experience management, understanding people and organisations, marketing for entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial financing, sales and negotiation strategies.

Practical experience: An important element of this course is the placement of the students with an endorsed host organisation(s). Work placements provide a valuable resource for you to develop hands-on practical experience to ensure you graduate confident and job-ready. A key task will be the completion of a reflective journal covering the experience and the identification and analysis of key learning outcomes. Work placement hours: 300 hours.
