Analyse the effectiveness and efficiencies of information systems when you study information technology systems at UOW. As you study the analysis, design, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of computer-based information systems, you will discover how to meet business needs while dealing with users at all levels within an organisation.
How do successful organisations operate? How can you develop information systems to meet business needs? On completion of this degree, you will be able to answer these questions and more as you are prepared for a career as a systems analyst or an information systems specialist.
You will benefit from the expertise of our teaching staff who are some of the best in their fields across sciences, IT, engineering and mathematical methodologies. Using our state-of- the-art computing systems, you will build a foundational knowledge of organisational areas in IT, including database management and security, human-computer interaction, networks and communications and more. You will also study key business subjects such as accounting and management and in your final year you will develop your own application as part of an annual student team project, developing solutions to real-world problems provided by our industry partners.
