Overview

If you’d like to analyse international markets and utilise your expertise to inform essential trade strategies, then choose this international trade major as part of VU’s Bachelor of Business.

You’ll gain an understanding of core economic principles and learn to devise and assess strategies to improve overall trade and investments in international business environments.

The course comprises 24 units, including core business units, specialist units, elective units and a stream of Business Challenge units, which are designed to build your skills in critical thinking, academic writing, teamwork, problem solving, project management career preparedness, with an entrepreneurial mindset, and global perspective. You can also complete a second major from 11 business fields, giving you opportunity to broaden your career prospects. Work-Integrated Learning units are available and provide opportunities to apply learnings and enhance practical work skills preparing students for employment.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.
