Overview

Understand how and why key business decisions are made, and how you can have input them with this four year accounting course.
 
You will study core accounting and business subjects in the first two years. In third year, you'll undertake a compulsory work placement in industry. In your final year, you'll complete a  business design project aimed at consolidating the theoretical and work experience components of the course.

Students who wish to meet the requirements for membership of the professional accounting bodies in Australia should undertake specified accounting subjects.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.

Accounting, Auditing, Auditing and taxation, Business, Business (accounting), Business (economics), Business (law), Business (taxation), Financial accounting, Management accounting, Taxation and auditing.

Potential Career Outcomes

Graduates will be prepared for roles as a Business Advisor or Analyst, Auditor, Taxation Advisor or jobs that require advanced knowledge and skills in financial reporting, strategic management accounting, insolvency and restructuring, investment banking and banking and financial services.
