Overview

For additional information see Bachelor of Business (Tourism and Event Management) (424371).

The aim of this program is to provide a packaged pathway to complete a bachelor's and master's degree in 4 years (full time).

The Bachelor of Business (Tourism and Event Management) degree is highly regarded and was recently awarded the SA Tourism Awards for Education and Training, admitted to the SA Tourism Hall of Fame. Based at our City West campus and adjacent to Adelaide's premier tourism and event precinct, the program equips students with skills that are highly sought after by industry including effective problem-solving and critical and strategic thinking. Students will study core courses across a range of business areas and progress through specialist tourism and event management courses such as tourism and hospitality marketing, event management, and policy, planning and development.

Designed in conjunction with government and industry, the Master of Management (Marketing) degree combines up-to-date theory with the practical application of management models and methods. The combination of business and marketing courses are influenced by cutting-edge research from the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute for Marketing Science, the world's largest Institute for research into marketing. Designed to provide students with a solid foundation of business knowledge, our business courses will further explore how marketing fits into the business model and strategic plan of an organisation.

Our specialist marketing courses will provide students with the expertise to develop successful marketing strategies and effective marketing plans. Students will learn how to make budgeting decisions, use market analysis tools, measure performance, anticipate contingencies, deal with competitors and manage brands.

Flexible study options are available including full-time, part-time, summer and winter school, on-campus and some external study.
