Overview

The building industry needs engineering professionals with strong architectural knowledge.
The combination of architectural design and civil engineering is an exploration of creative solutions to a wide variety of engineering and social problems, such as looking at sustainable ways to build or renovate existing structures to work more efficiently.

You'll graduate with valuable skills for transforming the built environment. The ability to provide solutions through creative thinking and realistic applications will make you attractive to architectural and engineering firms in Australia and overseas.

As a multifaceted built environment professional, you can provide important leadership in the design and construction of the built environment, collaborating with architects, engineers, builders and other design professionals.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 27 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in one of Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in one of Chemistry or Physics.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

As for Year 12 (or Year 12 equivalent).
