Overview

The Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Honours) prepares students for an exciting career as an accredited exercise physiologist and accredited exercise scientist. Accredited exercise physiologists are recognised allied health professionals who design and deliver exercise interventions for the prevention and management of a range of musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, metabolic, neurological, cancer and mental health conditions. The degree is the only four-year undergraduate clinical exercise physiology program in Australia where students graduate with an honours qualification. Students gain a broad grounding in biological and social factors influencing human movement and acquire knowledge in the fields of biomechanics, exercise physiology, motor control, physical activity, psychology and functional anatomy. Students undertake more than 550 hours of practical experience designed to optimise their exposure to a wide range of clients and practitioners.
