Overview

The rapidly-growing industry around contemporary medicine requires people who can commercialise biomedical research or apply commercial knowledge in research environments - think IVF and life-saving vaccines.

With this double degree, you will possess the technical and research skills needed both in the biomedical and commerce fields needed in commercialising medical research and managing an organisation. You'll also have the transferable skills that employers are looking for, such as communication, teamwork, research and critical thinking.

Apply genetics and actuarial studies to investigate the implications of genetic disease for health providers or insurance; immunology with economics to demonstrate how disease impacts political, legal and social activities; learn how to market and promote medical research or health campaigns or work in a business development role in international biomed companies to create opportunities for research.
