Flinders' city campus at Festival Plaza is a place where potential meets possibility. Offering a broad range of study areas, this unique, modern space in the heart of Adelaide is designed for collaborative learning, interactive teaching and industry engagement. Positioned adjacent to the Adelaide Railway Station on North Terrace and central to trams and buses, Festival Plaza provides students with greater connection, convenience and accessibility when selecting their preferred study location.

Please note only Year 1 topics of this course will be available in 2024. If you have been granted credit transfer or wish to apply for credit transfer for this course on the basis of previous study and you are granted credit, this may mean you will not be able to enrol in Year 2 or higher year topics, nor able to enrol on a full-time basis until 2025.

The Bachelor of Commerce provides students with the opportunity to develop broad knowledge and competencies to facilitate careers in commercial business-related fields. This degree focuses on application of knowledge, competencies and capabilities in diverse and global commercial business/organisational contexts. Students will apply their knowledge and competencies to a broad range of commercial business/organisational practices including systems and processes, planning, production, operations and the use of current and emerging data and analytical practices.

On completion of this degree student will be able to critically apply broad theoretical and technical accounting, finance, economic and management knowledge and skills to inform commercial business planning and analyse commercial business practices and decisions using theoretical and technical knowledge of regulatory, governance, compliance and legal requirements. Students will be able to explain the impact of socially responsible, ethical, economic, regulatory, sustainability, governance and global perspectives on commercial business planning and practices and communicate technical advice and ideas to specialists and non-specialists, in written and spoken forms.

This degree prepares graduates for employment in a wide range business related field. Potential occupations may include client service executive, business development and banking officer; potential employers may include finance institutions, public and private organisations and government agencies.
