This program is delivered as part of the Cyber Academy, a collaboration between the University of Wollongong, TAFE NSW and Deloitte to prepare the sharpest job-ready graduates in Cyber Security with a unique earn-as-you-learn diploma and degree program. Completion of this program will help you meet the growing demand for cyber security experts in fields such as law enforcement, national and state governments, defence, and the finance industry.
In this innovative degree, you will study technical and political concepts of current topics of cyber security, such as blockchain, cryptocurrency, multimedia security, Internet of Things (IoT) security, obfuscation and reverse engineering. You will also learn penetration testing skills for defensive purposes and be prepared for ethical hacking certification in our specialist hacking labs.
Cyber Academy students concurrently enrol in both the ICT50220 Diploma of Information Technology (Cyber Security at TAFE NSW and the Bachelor of Computer Science (Cyber Security) at UOW. Successful completion of the Diploma of Information Technology from TAFE NSW will provide Cyber Academy students with four subjects of specified credit for prior learning and four subjects of credit for towards elective subjects in the Bachelor of Computer Science (Cyber Security).
As part of the Cyber Academy, you will be placed with an employer and paid a salary for the three years of the degree.
If you are not accepted into the Cyber Academy and you want to study Computer Science at UOW, you will need to list 754100 Bachelor of Computer Science as an additional preference.
