The construction industry is the third-largest industry sector in Australia and is continuing to expand. This degree will equip you with in-depth knowledge and the practical skills required to manage and direct complex construction projects. Our strong links with industry ensure that you gain a practical understanding of the latest industry trends.
You’ll learn about construction and building practices, the fundamentals of sustainable construction, project development and management, construction economics, and site and safety operations in a global context. You’ll undertake an in-depth study of core construction areas including construction measurements and estimating, tendering, planning and procurement, with a strong focus on IT applications (BIM and Digital Twin) in the built environment. In your final year you’ll develop your professional skills through an industry placement, giving you the opportunity to build industry connections and enhance your employment opportunities.
