La Trobe’s Bachelor of Creative Arts combines in-depth theory and practice for a well-rounded arts education. Build a unique creative skillset by exploring multiple artistic mediums, including painting, drawing, ceramics, photography and printmaking.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English (EAL) or at least 20 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Subject proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.

Majors

History, heritage and environment, Human geography, Indonesian studies, Legal studies, Society, culture and social change, Visual arts, Writing, Writing and literature.

Potential Career Outcomes

A La Trobe creative arts degree opens doors to roles in art galleries, government and council organisations, film and TV studios, advertising agencies and photography studios.

Possible roles include:
  • Gallery or museum creator
  • Community arts facilitator
  • Art critic or writer
