Overview

In this innovative and specialised double degree, you’ll learn about the causes of crime and society’s response to it, while developing a core of IT technical knowledge related to network security.

Graduates of this double degree will have a broad and coherent body of knowledge in the fields of criminology and criminal justice, including an in-depth understanding of various theoretical frameworks underpinning the study of criminal behaviour, victimisation and criminal justice responses to crime, plus the role technology plays in committing and preventing crime. Additionally, you’ll have an in-depth knowledge of the underlying principles and concepts of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) problem solving and how to use modelling methods and processes to understand problems, handle abstraction and design solutions, as well as a suite of ICT professional knowledge, such as programming, human-computer interaction, business analytics, data and information management and networking.
