Overview

This course provides a studio learning environment for the development of digital media design specialists across interactive media, digital video, digital sound and digital environments.

Students develop specialisations within these core disciplines, including interactive and experience design, web and mobile media design, sound design, visual effects and compositing, motion graphics, virtual and augmented reality design, and digital installation design.

The course focuses on digital design as an emergent field, preparing students to lead future developments through an emphasis on design processes and methodologies, which are applied to particular contexts and challenges. 

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English other than EAL or at least 30 in English as an Additional Language (EAL).

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.
