Overview

Design and Media Communication unite in this unique, globally-relevant double degree that blends the visual language of design with the literary and narrative skills of professional communication.

This double degree allows you to develop specialist skills in Collaborative, Communication, Industrial, or Spatial Design, combined with Media Communication where you can choose between four specialisations (Journalism, Media, Public Relations or Screen) to complement your design skills and develop practical and work-ready skills from day one. You will have access to our workshops to create your design as well as our industry-standard Media Lab, and have the opportunity to experience what it’s like to work in a professional media environment.

This degree will create a new generation of thinkers, future-driven design and media communication professionals who will dare to create positive change across all endeavours and shape the future of contemporary design and communication.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 27 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

As for Year 12 (or Year 12 equivalent).
