Overview

In this course students study microeconomics, macroeconomics, benefit-cost analysis, and choose from a wide array of electives, learning a range of statistical, mathematical and analytical tools that can be used to explain why individuals, organisations and governments make the decisions that they do. The conceptual and data analytical toolkits gained will open vast career opportunities in both the public and private sectors - economics is helpful in just about any industry. Prerequisites

Majors

Economics and public policy; economics of strategy and behaviour; international and financial economics; quantitative analysis.

Analyst; adviser; consultant; economist in fields including infrastructure development and planning, environmental management, international finance, investment and trade, natural resource and agricultural economics, health, treasury, statistics.
