Overview

You will gain specialised knowledge of fiscal and monetary policies and economic theory at both micro and macro levels as you develop a thorough grounding in law when you study law with economics and finance at UOW. You will develop expertise in business and commercial enterprise, and learn about the behaviour of consumers and firms, the labour market, the environment, and international trade and how to raise, allocate and use financial resources and address global economic issues.

How do you achieve social justice within our legal framework? What are the market factors that influence investment and industry behaviours? On completion, you will be able to answer these questions and more as you are prepared for traditional roles within the legal profession, as well as a wide range of in-house legal roles within businesses and financial institutions.

You will benefit from the expertise of our teaching staff who are some of the best in their fields as you develop highly sought-after practical and contextual legal education. Design the career of your choice as you build highly competitive skills based on experiential learning. After completing fundamental theory both domestic and global and practice-based work, you will undertake an exciting applied research project capstone subject.

Throughout this degree, you will gain hands-on experience, make meaningful professional connections and have the opportunity for an international workplace-based project, or more traditional research-based project. You will also gain practical experience during a legal internship and embedded legal skills program where you will gain highly valued industry experience and skills.
