Overview

Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people pursuing undergraduate study now have unparalleled access into a range of globally recognised degrees at Monash University. The Indigenous Entry Scheme offers applicants admission to the degrees with a significantly lower Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) requirement. There are no special classes, extra requirements or time added to the course for students admitted under the Indigenous Entry Scheme and students will graduate with the same Monash degree as any other student.

When you apply you will be asked to tell us what teaching specialisations you would be interested in. You can nominate a teaching sector such as early years, primary or secondary or a dual sector qualification. If you wish to be a secondary teacher, you will nominate a second specialisation to develop your secondary teaching areas.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 1 and 2: satisfactory completion in two units (any study combination) of Maths: General Mathematics, Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics or Units 3 and 4: any Mathematics; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

As for Year 12 (or Year 12 equivalent).
