Overview

Do you want to educate young people on the importance of health and physical activity - for themselves and for happier, healthier communities? This specialisation will qualify you to teach adolescents (12-18 years of age) health, including human development, physical education, and a third area of your choice. This could be environmental studies, biology with a focus on exercise physiology, business, geography, mathematics or social education.

The skills you attain including coaching and leadership expertise will be in demand in schools and the broader community.

You'll be well prepared for a future as a leading health and physical educator in a range of schools, community, recreational and sporting settings.

Travel between campuses may be required.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 1 and 2: satisfactory completion in two units (any study combination) of Maths: General Mathematics, Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics or Units 3 and 4: any Mathematics; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

As for Year 12 (or Year 12 equivalent).
