Overview

The Bachelor of Education in Primary, 1-10 Health and Physical Education will qualify you to work both as a primary classroom teacher for Years 1 to 6, and also as a secondary teacher specialising in Health and Physical Education (HPE) up to Year 10, so you’ll graduate with more career opportunities. You will develop a strong grounding in effective learning, teaching and assessment practices, and will study areas of the primary curriculum including English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences, Health and Physical Education and the Arts. Throughout your degree you will get qualifications in coaching and officiating so you could also work as a sports coach in the community. You will design, deliver and lead a sport development program for juniors, either within a school or club, to apply the skills gained from the Level 1 coaching courses offered as part of your studies, and you will receive coaching accreditation in up to four sports.
