Overview
Subjects centre on literacy and numeracy, an appreciation of diversity, an understanding of modern schooling and disability services, evidence-based decision making and reflective practice.
Students study discipline-specific curriculum, pedagogical studies, general education studies, and professional experience. A feature of this course is the integration of discipline knowledge with the curriculum and pedagogical knowledge needed to teach children with additional learning and physical needs.
Students can graduate with a primary teaching specialisation in either English/literacy or Mathematics/numeracy.

Aside from traditional educational settings, Bachelor of Education graduates have the skills, knowledge and experience to work in private enterprise, government agencies and community service organisations.
