The Primary Education degree provides a qualification enabling you to teach students in Years 1-6 in government, Catholic and independent schools. This course provides opportunities to gain a clear understanding of educational theory and classroom practice, and become responsive to the changing cultural, social and individual needs of children in schools.
You will cover the essential topics of planning lessons and programs, behaviour management, culture and educating students with diverse abilities. Core curriculum education units include The Arts, Literacy, Science, Mathematics, Humanities and Social Sciences, Health and Physical Education and Digital Technologies.
