Overview

This double degree combines the latest in mechatronics technologies, systems engineering and additive manufacturing with business studies and high-level financial and economic analysis.

As an RMIT engineering and business student, you will be able to design and manufacture mechatronic systems and devices, and provide solutions, keeping in perspective core business knowledge critical to success in the international market. You'll learn to design, build and operate smart systems in aerospace, automotive, food processing and electronics industries and oversee the development of large-scale, global manufacturing facilities.

With studies in business you'll gain the skills to be able to perform high-level financial and economic analyses with a global perspective.

Graduates with engineering and business skills may advance their careers quickly and may find work in multinational companies as executives in supply chain and procurement.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 20 in one of Maths: Further Mathematics, Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.
