Flinders' city campus at Festival Plaza is a place where potential meets possibility. Please note only Year 1 topics of this course will be available in 2024. If you have been granted credit transfer or wish to apply for credit transfer for this course on the basis of previous study and you are granted credit, this may mean you will not be able to enrol in Year 2 or higher year topics, nor able to enrol on a full-time basis until 2025.
Students complete core foundation topics in electronics, engineering, maths and professional skills.
On completion of this Engineering year applicants transition to the second year of a named engineering specialisation of choice including Biomedical; Civil; Electrical and Electronic; Environmental; Maritime; Mechanical; Software or Robotic.
Applications who do not meet the prerequisites but have completed SACE Stage 2 General Mathematics or SACE Stage 1 Mathematics should consider the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) General Entry (SATAC code 244441). The Engineering (with Specialisations) (Honours) degrees are accredited by Engineers Australia at the level of professional engineer and is recognised internationally under the Washington Accord.
