Overview

This combined degree produces professional engineers with a solid foundation in engineering principles and the managerial skills to run complex projects. You'll develop knowledge and skills in your preferred engineering major combined with key business competencies such as organisational behaviour, communication, economics, and quality control. Skills are enhanced via an industry-based project or placement to prepare students for entry to the workforce. Engineering: civil engineering; electrical and electronic engineering; electronic engineering; environmental engineering; mechanical engineering. Business: Asian engagement; behavioural science; business analytics; economics; employment relations; events; finance; human resource management; innovation and entrepreneurship; logistics and supply chain management; management; marketing; political science and international relations; real estate and property development; sport management; sustainable business; taxation; tourism and travel.

Potential Career Outcomes

You’ll be prepared to work in a variety of engineering-related roles relevant to your chosen specialisation(s) in engineering firms, not-for-profit, government and corporate organisations. By combining these two fields, you can apply your specialised knowledge of business and engineering to roles such as project manager, business manager, chief engineer, supply chain manager and consulting engineer in private and public sectors.
