Overview

Biomedical engineers work towards the enhancement of health and improving the quality of life through the design of medical devices and the implementation of new technologies. Students of this inter-disciplinary program learn the fundamentals of human biology, medical science, and engineering. The coming together of these areas will allow students to understand the operation of living systems and to design novel solutions to global problems in medicine and biology. Our students and researchers collaborate on cutting-edge research projects with other schools, centres and various industry partners. This program will provide students with the skills and experience to further their biomedical engineering careers. Graduates will become proficient in working with other engineers and diverse stakeholders such as IT professionals, medical staff and researchers due to this inter-disciplinary approach.
