Overview

Combine studies in mechanical engineering and business to help you become an engineering manager, capable of providing technical and business leadership.

As a mechanical engineering student you will develop the skills required for the planning, design, development and improvement of machinery used in everyday life. You will study the conversion and control of energy and motion in machinery and systems.

The business degree focuses on the roles and functions of business. Managers deal with a range of complex issues, including wider economic and social factors.

You will acquire good interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of engineering theory and the ability to apply learning and knowledge to a wide range of situations.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in our well-equipped laboratories and real world experience through engineering work experience.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 20 in one of Maths: Further Mathematics, Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

Demonstrated proficiency equivalent to stated Year 12 prerequisites.
