The course encompasses a wide range of communication mediums including radar, radio and microwaves. A particular focus will be placed on technologies that adopt these in conjunction with studies in signal processing, infrared imaging systems, multi-spectral sensing, satellite communications, computer networks and telecommunications.
Professionals in this area work in a variety of organisations including defence, telecommunications, computer and information security.
Accreditation with Engineers Australia at the level of Engineering Technologist will be sought. All current specialisations are accredited with Engineers Australia.
