Expand your knowledge and learn about environmental science, ecology, climate, biodiversity conservation, wildlife management and practical aspects of natural resource management, ensuring you’ve got the necessary skills to make a difference. Participate in field studies of vegetation and freshwater ecosystems, wildlife survey and monitoring, and site visits to water resource and renewable energy facilities to ensure practical skills are integrated alongside theoretical learning. Potential Career Outcomes

Graduates will be ready for employment in resources/mining industries, government departments and agencies, local councils, consultancy, national parks, universities, defence organisations, CSIRO, Australia Bureau of Meteorology and other organisations contributing to sustainable utilisation and management of our natural resources. Depending on their chosen major, graduates may find employment within careers such as climate scientist, climate policy consultant, a climatologist, climate policy analyst, environmental officer, conservation biologist, biosecurity officer, environmental consultant, ranger, pest control officer, wildlife ecologist, wildlife scientist, hydrologist, water scientists, water modeller, or choose to work as Science Teachers (with further study) or Science Journalists.
