Potential Career Outcomes

Graduates will be ready for employment in resources/mining industries, government departments and agencies, local councils, consultancy, national parks, universities, defence organisations, CSIRO, Australia Bureau of Meteorology and other organisations contributing to sustainable utilisation and management of our natural resources. Depending on their chosen major, graduates may find employment within careers such as climate scientist, climate policy consultant, a climatologist, climate policy analyst, environmental officer, conservation biologist, biosecurity officer, environmental consultant, ranger, pest control officer, wildlife ecologist, wildlife scientist, hydrologist, water scientists, water modeller, or choose to work as Science Teachers (with further study) or Science Journalists.
