Overview

This double degree ensures you’ll be ready to work with NGOs and big business alike by combining global communication skills with the ability to shape and manage cutting-edge technologies.

Study a Bachelor of Global Studies to gain a rich understanding of local and global forces and hone your analytical abilities. You can specialise in Intercultural Studies, International relations, International studies or Human rights.

Study a Bachelor of Information Technology to gain the knowledge and skills needed to use IT effectively and to develop and manage IT-based systems. The course is broad in scope, spanning technical computing to games and immersive media.

This double degree encourages hands-on experience and includes a compulsory overseas study component, which can include Monash Global Immersion Guarantee*, study tours, or studying at a partner university.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 1 and 2: satisfactory completion in two units (any study combination) of Maths: General Mathematics, Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics or Units 3 and 4: any Mathematics; Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 27 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.

Non-Year 12 prerequisites

As for Year 12 (or Year 12 equivalent).
