Overview

In complex modern societies there is demand for graduates with a strong understanding of the health service system along with the community services that support population health. Dedicated people with specialised skills, in-depth industry knowledge, and an understanding of health beyond illness and disease are needed to plan, manage, coordinate and administer infrastructure and resources. The Bachelor of Health Science is a flexible program that prepares students to apply integrated and multidisciplinary knowledge to a range of areas in the health industry and beyond. Students will establish a strong foundation in biomedical sciences, and can specialise in areas relevant to their career ambitions, including marketing, anatomy and physiology, human resource management, information technology, counselling and psychology. Students will have the opportunity to complete a health and wellbeing industry placement. Students may also have the opportunity to study overseas.
