Overview

Osteopathy is a form of musculoskeletal therapy that considers the patient's overall presentation and health when addressing their chief clinical complaint. Osteopaths use hands on manual treatment techniques in addition to exercise, nutrition, health advice, and other interventional practices to treat musculoskeletal conditions.

You’ll be trained in musculoskeletal diagnosis, clinical procedures like performing conventional medical tests, physical examination techniques, and motion testing in order to assist in diagnosis of a patient’s condition.

You'll begin work-integrated learning in first year, with clinical observations in the RMIT Health Sciences Clinic. In the final two years, you will conduct safe, skilled evaluation, diagnosis, and management of a wide-range of musculoskeletal complaints in the Clinic under the supervision of a registered practitioner.
