Overview

This course is part of Swinburne’s 2024 Early Entry Program. You’ll be selected for entry based on your subject study scores, school recommendation and completing an Australian Year 12 or IB, instead of your ATAR. To be eligible, you must submit an online application and preference this course in VTAC. Learn more

You'll explore Australian and international health challenges. Examine the physical, psychological and social aspects of health in a variety of settings. And, learn about contemporary issues in health science, such as biomedical testing or health communication, and how to address them.

All Swinburne degrees include a guaranteed Work Integrated Learning opportunity, which could be a placement, internship or industry-linked project. In this degree, you’ll have the opportunity to apply your learning and work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams on an industry-linked project.

Prerequisites

Year 12 prerequisites

Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 25 in English other than EAL or at least 30 in English as an Additional Language (EAL); Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 20 in any Mathematics.

Applied mathematics, Biochemistry, Biomedical science, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Clinical technologies, Environmental science, Neuroscience, Nutrition, Physics, Psychology and forensic science, Psychology and psychophysiology, Public health and health promotion.
