Overview

Develop the knowledge and skills required to become registered and work as a physiotherapist. The degree builds on Flinders University's strengths in rural health and health service improvement, and prepares you for a career as a contemporary health professional able to work across a variety of settings.

This double degree builds on our strengths in rural health and health service improvement. The degree provides graduates with the physiotherapy knowledge and skills required to become registered and work as a physiotherapist. Students will gain the fundamental knowledge in social and clinical sciences as well as study topics that introduce physiotherapy and the science that underpins practice.

This degree is accredited by the Australian Physiotherapy Council and satisfies the academic requirements for registration as a physiotherapist with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.

Applicants who have applied on time but shuffle this preference after 1 December 2023 will not be guaranteed equal consideration. Applicants who have applied on time will be required to have all pending or missing grades and/or adjustment factors finalised no later than 31 December 2023 to be guaranteed equal consideration.

Applicants are advised that should they receive an offer for a place in this degree they will be required to enrol in topics in the degree by the response date stated in the letter of offer from SATAC. If they do not enrol via the Flinders University Student System by the specified date and maintain enrolment, their offer of a place in the degree will be forfeit. Applicants who receive an offer for a place in this degree should also note that if they subsequently receive an offer to a higher preference, their superseded offer of a place in this degree will also be forfeit. This degree is not normally designed for people who already have a physiotherapy degree.
