Overview

Study South Australia’s only double degree in human movement and psychological science. Develop a holistic understanding of the impact that physical activity has on human biology, psychology and social development. Explore core areas such as human anatomy, growth and motor development, exercise physiology, nutrition, and group and team psychology, along with fitness and lifestyle management, biomechanics, cognitive psychology, counselling foundations and developmental psychology. Learn in state-of-the-art facilities on campus including the Exercise Physiology Clinic, Environmental Chamber, Exercise Physiology Lab, Biomechanics Lab and a fully-equipped Health and Fitness Centre. Gain valuable practical experience by completing practical work placements during your studies. This degree is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) and graduates can also apply for fourth year psychology programs, as well as level 1 membership with the Australian Counselling Association – criteria applies.

CAREERS: Sports coach, physical training coordinator, sport development officer, research assistant, sports counsellor, psychologist or teacher (with further study).
