The Bachelor of Human Nutrition aims to produce graduates who can deliver quality nutritional practice within a wide range of settings including nutrition, public health, health education or health promotion. Students can complete a minor in Ageing; Dietetics or Digital Health as part of this course.
On completion of this degree students will be able to undertake nutrition practice in a range of settings including public health and health promotion and apply understanding of the principles of primary health care and the impact of social, political, economic, environmental and cultural factors on food choice and the health of individuals, families and communities.
This degree prepares graduates for careers in health education, health promotion and public health sectors. Potential occupations may include consultant nutritionist, health promotion officer and sports nutrition consultant; potential employers may include public and private sector organisations and community based services.
This degree is recognised by the Nutrition Society of Australia.
